Personally hardest boss in metroid franchise I think. I played this when I was younger didn't have many energy tanks and he would take like a whole tank in one his. His second form had really odd movements and his creepy face made it hard for me to focus on actually fighting him.

Metroid Fusion had a few flaws here and there, like preventing exploration and some areas are more interesting than others, but the atmosphere and challenge were fucking awesome.
Nightmare kicked my ass relentlessly over and over I was so frustrated but when I finally beat it, wow, it was fucked, I loved that feeling. Nothing like a well made, hard old school game.

Honestly, the moments with SA-X were the most memorable and intense in this game.
Every game after Prime have had amazing concepts, but disappointed in some other area. They could all potentially have been the best game in the series. Other M does not apply, that's not a Metroid game
