I always thought that the pre-bossfight cutscenes in the Souls games were so well done. I like how they don't usually have background music and tend to be slower-paced, it gives them a unique feeling.

I really enjoyed and got deep into BB lore so i even enjoyed bosses people consider memes like micolash, MP, wet nurse and ayyys because of their atmosphere and importance to the plot. But the game has actual good fights like that in spades; pretty much every DLC boss, Gascoigne, Amelia, Martyr, etc.
BB just has really cohesive and well done lore that fits in it's world. I think the lazy throwbacks to older games in DaS3 really threw me off.

It was genuinely inspired in a way that DaS3 doesn't seem to be. I can only hope that from now on after the obligatory 1 or 2 DLCs they leave Souls, and BB for that matter and start focusing on new IPs. There is nothing wrong with having one solid game and that being that without having to pump out sequels that ultimately disappoint. A corpse should be left well alone.

BB's boss philosophy is quite literally a descent into madness.
You basically fight a giant werewolf and then a dude that turns into a werewolf, then a weredeerwolf, then a witch or a trio of cultist. Then suddenly it's a weird fucking spider thing that shoots comets, a bone beast riding the lightning, and a pile of fetuses shitting everywhere.
Then you're fighting a human spider thing with a rock full of eyes for a head that shoots lasers, a guy wearing a cage talking about weird gods and shit that shoots lasers and slugs.
Then fucking ayylmaos and a slug alien with a vagina for a face.
Then it gets normal again kind of only you're fighting a feathered cloak because the thing is invisible. Then you fight PSSH nothing personnel old man and finally nyarlathotep.
You're basically going insane.

BB suffered from lack of invadable areas. I play the game so I know BB PvP and fight clubs happen in set chalice dungeons but a shit ton of people never touch the chalice dungeons at all and don't know it's there.

Most of the exclusive chalice dungeon bosses shit on pretty much most DS3 bosses. You are aware of that, right? Not to forget that they are stronger them then too if you get deep enough in.
It takes 4-7 minutes at most to get from one boss to another if you rush through the dungeon. Big deal for great, tough boss fights.
