I think so, some kickstarter game or something. When I was looking for this pic (there's actually a pic that OP's pic is almost a trace of) there were a ton of character images that looked like they were for a game. Knowing everything MAD! it will be delayed for 2 years before its cancelled.

yeah its called Battle Chasers. the game is called BC: Night War (or Watch, cant remember). And yeah its true about MAD!. during the original run of Battle Chasers there were literal 6 month gaps between issues. There are only 9 or 10 issues total, taking around 3 years to "finish". The last issue was a deluxe size promising to get back on track and had alot of behind the scenes stuff. Nothing came of it. In the end, his procrastination killed my interest in western comics for a decade.
Still one of my favorite artists ever, got into his style in his uncanny x-men days.
