So I've watched some videos of it, are the controls utter ass or is this fag here just bad?
He tries to knock this guy out but can't seem to pull it off.
Is there a manual punch or is everything "press x to do thing" where you are at mercy of whatever the x action the game snaps to?

3, Thailand, US and Japan. They'll come out before the end of the year.

Then there will be a season 2 in 2017, that'll probably have 6 episodes as well.
>>
>>336234096
We have 4 more locations to go through.
Next month is Morocco
Next is Thailand
Then we go to the good old USA
And finally Japan

So that's 6 episodes, although I've heard whispers that there will be an extra final episode. If so, it might have its own location or maybe it will be located in one of the areas from the rest of the game.
>>
>>336234256

>>
>>336234378

the retail edition is the boxed version of Season 1. That's what you're paying the $60 for.
>>
>>336234378
yeah, retail version in january is the plan. Season 2 is a sequel, I don't see what's confusing about that.

Kind of like how literally every franchise in videogame history has by definition had a sequel?
>>
>>336234378
>>336234432
They said there will be a second season next year if the game sells well enough.

With that said, they have mentioned it multiple times and basically admitted it at this point. They even said in one of the videos that the plot of the game would not be done with this season and it'd cliffhanger into the next one.

It almost seems like they're already working on it.
>>
>>336234432

They've already confirmed it. In fact, the story is being written with a 3 act structure with an act per season, so there will probably be a season 3 too.

Is it just me or did Hitman really did nothing new after the second mission in the very first game? Seems like the entire franchise is all about recapturing the greatness of those very first missions.
>>
>>336234403
>what does the joint do?
You can put it in either the cigar box of Silvio's or Francesca's (or both if you find two joints), they'll pass out, guards will panic, a body will be found, then they will wake up and go barf to the closest nearby place.

>does the witch doctor costume allow you to go anywhere or anything? or the street performer outfit
Nope, same rights as your suit, different comments from people.
>>
>>336232185
According to what I read in the RPS article, Marrakesh has potential for being really good, with the brooding riot outside and such. The author hypothesized of starting the riot and getting into the embassy with the rioters.
It was also discussed whether this event might change tthe map permanently for the mission.
>>
>>336234573
What? The second mission of the first game is Ambush at the Wang Fou Restaurant, a completely linear mission that basically forces you to go to its set points in a pre-determined way unless you want to shoot your way out.

Traditions of the Trade is the level they've been basing themselves more on. It was the one good level in that piece of shit game. Every game in the series since then has been evolving, though, assuming you ignore Absolution
>>
>>336232260

I think you misunderstood the meaning of my post
the notion that humans were "meant to be" stewards is what I'm laughing at

Humans are animals just like any other. Sometimes our programming puts a human's individual instincts at odds with the betterment of the species, just like any other (like your retarded wannabe nobility in this case, captain altruism)

the notion that there's any way to say whether it deserves to go on existing is laughable.

You can't buy episode 2 if you haven't bought episode 1. Can't buy episode 3 if you haven't bought episode 2.

Which is dumb as hell, that's like the one advantage to episodic gaming (well, that and the fact the game comes earlier)

Go rewatch Casino Royale again. Craig's portrayal mellowed out in future films but he was a brute in CR.

Which is good, because it's exactly how Ian Fleming's character is supposed to be portrayed. The gentleman spy is a meme invented by Connery and Moore, the character is a ruthless government assassin who is a complete sociopath because he has to be for his work.

>>336237380
Bond is just a human
If the encounter took place in a bond movie, he'd kill 47 because bond cannot die in his franchise—they will literally never let him die. even if it were to end, it wouldn't end with him dead, his image is too tightly controlled and the aspirational fantasy element of his franchise would mandate he ride off into an impossibly beautiful tropical sunset with an impossibly beautiful woman.

If it took place in a Hitman game, 47 would likely win, but it is not inconceivable that 47 would die in some sort of poignant series ending event. The Hitman series is not aspirational fiction, and shoots for a more somewhat bleaker tone overall than bond does.

To an extent, yeah. It's more natural and less scripted than it was in the beta, but there will still be a few conversations and events that only start happening when you're in close proximity.

No, if it was a Hitman game 47 would win, seemingly die then come back to life because he knew that Bond would shoot him with a laser pen so he wore a tinfoil turtleneck under his suit.

47's real superpower isn't his strength or speed, it's his supernatural ability to plan ahead (represented by the player's save-scumming and multiple playthroughs of the same mission)
>>
>>336237385
A couple opportunities start off there, there's essentially one of every costume in various apartments (including security guard), and the church belfry is an excellent sniper's nest and can be used to complete a unique assassination challenge.

That's basically it.
>>
>>336238423
yeah, but the poison could have been anything. you just used the fugu fish to poison the guy's cocaine. i guess in the japan level you could maybe actually fuck with an improperly prepared fugu fish
>>
>>336238439
I thought it was a real boring level, and it's basically unreplayable
>>
>>336237592
Luckily I don't live somewhere with capital punishment, so no contradiction there
>>
>>336237518
Yeah. Seems like a comfy job, it pays well, and you never have to be on the field. I don't have to worry about morale either because 47 has little to no emotions about anything except cooking and cosplay.

The only problem I would have is ICA breathing down my neck all the time, but other than that, just be good at the job and life is good.
>>
>>336236897
47's organism is enhanced to have heightened senses and be stronger plus have higher stamina than even top athletes.

Absolution was basically created to showcase 47's feats, such as firing as fast as an IPSC shooter or beating a 7'6" tall 440lbs behemot in a fist fight.
>>
>>336236218
Craig only had one good Bond film though: Casino Royale.
>>
>>336238580
Ah, that's right, I remember now. I actually thought that Chinatown mission was alright, certainly good when compared with the rest of the game.
But yeah, if they have a Fugu Fish death in the new Japan mission, it's probably gonna be more like something out of Silent Assassin. Hopefully this time, you can serve the food yourself.

47 almost dies after being shot with a handgun in the stomach, only to recover thanks to a ICA doctor.

JB gets shot in the shoulder by an assault rifle, falls 150 feet into rapid water and walks it off with nothing but some psychological trauma to show for it.

Absolution is barely canon.

Batman is literally superhuman.

Nigga has superhuman feats that 47 will never reach.

Would a multiplayer Hitman game mode work? If so, how? I know that it's a bad idea because the developers should be working on good single player content instead of being worried about multiplayer, but could it work?
>>
>>336237367
No, someone DID get to do them both - they uploaded a video on youtube and IO interactives PR commented on the video congratulating them and asking it to be taken down to not ruin the surprise for other players.

It was taken down but someone screenshotted it with the twins target on the video, I am sure some anon will have the picture - failing that it's on reddit most likely
>>
>>336238862
>Absolution is barely canon
where does abomination sit in terms of canon anyway?
>>
>>336238895
But that's not the point: the death wouldn't be a mission failed for the player, it would be a series finale for Hitman. Cinematic, 47 dies, dolly cam out, he's finally free.

What I'm saying is that bond would literally never die in his own franchise, but 47 dying in HIS franchise is only extremely unlikely, not impossible.

And that's a big difference
>>

>>
>>336238381
I don't know why people are ripping on the episodic sell aspect - I think it's actually better than just waiting to release just the disc for a number of reasons:

1) you can pay just for one level to see if the game is any good, this was essentially me after playing absolution

2) you can then buy levels individually to stretch out rather than dumping a straight up £60 investment, helps poorfags and reduces risk that you end up paying for shitter levels

3) You get to play the game earlier

and, the most important 4) It encourages players to fully explore all maps, I know some people do that already but I know a good many people who bumrush for the quickest way to win and would just do it all without going for SA in one sitting

It's not like you spend more for the game in the long run. The always online is the undisputably shit element however the issues surrounding it at launch have been patched away

Why is Italy so underused in vidya? Games set there tend to be comfy, AC2 had an amazing setting, Sapienza is awesome. Uncharted never used it as setting and i feel it could have been beautiful if done right.
>>
>>336240015
You can finish Absolution without killing anyone except for the targets.
>>
>>336239296
Sort of, already has been done with The Ship and to a lesser extent SS13 and the TTT gamemode in Gmod

The biggest issue surrounding it is if you know that someone is probably hunting you you play around it, cheating/random killing happens often in the latter two games and so they are heavily admined.

The fun of hitman comes in preparing a perfect stealthed kill, in games were people are aware of an assassin about and hence constantly watch their backs it breaks the flow of what hitman is designed for
>>
>>336239949

They kind of tried to frame it as 47 being a horror movie monster with the POV shots, like the Fuchs assassination where we see the camera move towards him in the pool with the wave ripples from 47, that's like something out of Jaws.

I really liked the airport shot were they superimposed Diana and 47 together, it was a good way to show their bond.

When your internet drops, the game pauses and asks you to reconnect, when you manage to reconnect, it resumes.

So, really, you actually lose more progress in Overwatch than you do with Hitman with drops of internet.

I say get Overwatch and buy the Hitman intro pack that is only 15 bucks, see if you like it and then upgrade or not based on your decision. Ignore No Man's Sky.

I feel if they were intended to be the same person they would have looked more similar and retained similar hair styles despite age.

You know what would be a really awesome level for Hitman?

An old spooky haunted mansion in a fairly small island surrounded by nothing but sea.

There are only 10 to 16 NPC's. You lose if a NPC rings the alarm.

You have to go inside the mansion and open some sort of safe to find out who the target is. It's randomized each time you play the level.

Now for the fun part: You have drama between the characters and accusations of each other being the murderer if the target was killed in an obvious way, or worries about the supernatural if accidents start happen.

You can just straight up kill one by one, ignoring the mission objective, to see each of the targets gets more and more insane, to the point that certain people would start attacking each other or commit suicide

TELL ME THIS WOULDN'T BE THE COOLEST SHIT. I DARE YOU.
>>

I don't actually think the wine scientist bit is related to the Sanpieza level.

In the trailer we see the american area guy is surrounded by the same wine bottles at his feet when he is sunbathing outside with the woman.

The lab in the trailer also looks nothing like the sapienza lab, and appears to be in the bottom floor of a building rather than a cave.

I think there is another lab in the USA level for some reason due to the wine bottles

I find it unlikely they'll have two laboratories on the same game, or at least on the same season.

My guess is that the trailer was made while the team was still designing the levels and they just switched some things around since the time the trailer was finished and ready to show.
