It would be fucking sick to have a detailed remaster like Gears of War did with GoW Ultimate Edition, with new menus, UI, engine, and such.
CoD on PC will never happen, nobody fucking plays them on PC, I mean of course it will be released on PC but 90% of their market is consoles.
That being said I plan on getting a PS4 in a few months and it would be awesome to have a 1080p, 60fps, modernized HD updated MW2 on ps4, it would be cool if the "MW trilogy" was only $40 and came with all the DLC for each game, even though I probably wouldn't touch MW3 except for the campaign maybe.
I honestly think MW2 was the most fun I ever had in an online FPS, the menus, the perks, the weapons, the design and aesthetics, the suppressed ACR laser rifle, the UMP with lightweight and marathon, the multiplayer was a fluke masterpiece.

Seemed the biggest selection of weapons, just about all pretty satisfying to use, and the extensive support streak list was great for those of us who aren't so great at surviving long but still want to help the team now and then

Black Ops 2 sold 2.7 million copies on PC. Ghosts sold around 1.3 million. Subsequent entries sit around 900k.

No. They just have different priorities. For example, Black Ops III is a much more technologically advanced game than Advanced Warfare, since it has realtime volumetric lighting and God Rays and all that jazz, while AW was all prebaked.
Black Ops II is a pretty decent looking game, especially on PC.

If you ignore the unrealistic "slamming against side of building without breaking legs", Federation Day was the best depiction of rappelling down a skyscraper I've seen in a videogame. It has a real sense of verticality. Also, the hacking section was really good. It really captured that frantic "It's almooooooost done" quality. You see the shadows of the patrol coming down the hallway, and the hack is still not finished. And then you melt away into the shadows just in time.

But it looks like we're getting Call of Duty: In Space Edition instead. I'm hoping for the best, but I can't say I'm not disappointed because I liked that Ghosts continued the modern day tech, near future war theme of Modern Warfare. Infinite Warfare might be great, but I'm left wondering what could have been. Take the Ghosts formula and polish the shit out of it. Give it better, more coherent structure. Make the game longer without hurting the tight pacing.
One thing I find very curious is how Ghosts' credits are just a wall of text list. I have no idea who was the game director or lead designer or creative director or cutscene director anything like that. It's very strange.

The one thing I liked about Ghosts is that there were maps big enough to support true sniper gameplay. Unfortunately the standard lobby size was not increased so most people found those matches to be way too sparse and empty. If Ghosts standard lobbies were Ground War sized while the actual Ground War was even bigger, I think it would have been remembered more fondly.
Well, that and having Blops2 health pool instead of the extremely fragile Ghosts system. I swear, it is absurdly easy to *instantly* kill a fully armored man in a videogame compared to real life. Even games like Insurgency are a bit iffy on this.
