Funny story, I went through hard up to Jaeger 3, dropped down to normal, then was so upset with how easy normal was that I checked my autosaves and the last one was still on the old file before Jaeger 3.
Reloaded it, grinded a couple of levels, redid my orbments, then finally beat him.
Beat the game tonight (I'm OP). There was never a harder fight in the game than him. Great job Falcom.

Also check the bulletin board between every small update in the story. Some side quests are available for short sections in the story. There's one escort quest in Bose I failed because I blinked and missed it.

Dont skip orbment tutorial. It functions slightly differently then from sen. Battles should be the same, with shorter load times. Fc has a much slower start, patience is needed and theres no fast travel. Also shining pom can be found roaming around for quick exp.

Joshua isn't exactly as strong as you might think. He's probably an A rank with a specialty in covert operations.
The fact that his specialty is basically sneaking around doesn't exactly make him all that strong to begin with, unless he's striking from the shadows as he puts it.
Also Loewe is like beyond S. The only reason Joshua wins is pretty much because he's severely weakened beforehand on top of letting his guard down with the shit Joshua says.
So basically on a 1 on 1 Joshua would probably be on par with most of the more experienced bracers in the games.
