Post games you misjudged. Either you thought were going to be shit based on trailers and gameplay before playing them or games upon playing them initially thought were shit and then started to appreciate more as you went.
Pic related, I picked this up back when it came out because of a thread on /v/, initial reactions were mixed to say the least when it first came out this game was super buggy and I too fucking hated it, fucking dropped it and didn't touch it again for weeks. Then I randomly decided to give it another chance for some reason and got really invested, ended up playing the whole game in one sitting and now I absolutely fucking love this game.

Frozen Synapse
At first it felt like a game that was too hard for me, then I picked it up randomly, learned the game and got gud. Even won a few online matches.
Excited for Frozen Synapse 2.
Well, I thought The Wonderful 101 was going to be absolutely fantastic based on it being Platinum and Matthewmatosis considers it his favorite game. It turned out to be completely awful. Maybe I'm incompetent but nothing about that gimmicky fucking gameplay made any sense at all.

Morrowind. This was like 13 years ago, by the time I left the village I fucking hated it and uninstalled it. Then I gave it another chance about a year later and it's now in my top 3 all time favorite games.
Bloodborne. Hated it because I sucked. Got to Gascoigne and gave up after like a week and a half of trying to beat him. Went back to Destiny for like 4 months before coming back and learning how to git gud. Now I consider it one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

Pokemon X/Y
The new Hitman game is actually great. Even though the way it's being released is frustrating.
MGS2.
Dark souls. Started playing it and hated how slow the combat felt. Saw people stream dark souls 3 and the combat didn't seem delayed like Dark Souls. Really enjoying the game now and am going to replay the first dark souls when I finish 3. I feel like DS 3 is easier and more forgiving for newer players and I just have to git gud
