Sloth is pretty good honestly. It can cause a delay on yokai regenerating their shield allowing you to stun that since it takes three hits for the regen to be interrupted. Couple it with kekkai and you'll basically never have to deal with bosses regenerating their stamina on top of getting more hits to charge your guardian spirit.

Both have basically been around since Demon's Souls, but the very nature of the Conquered demands that the Conquerors come first. Why? Because Conquers beat the path and light the way. Afterward, like mold or a rot, the Conquered seep into the community, ever at the heels of the Conquerors.
How is that? Either by a lack of information upon release or due to a self-imposed restriction, the Conqueror goes in blind. Conquerors embrace the challenge From Software has extended with each release in their Souls/Bloodborne Series while the Conquered abhor it. While Conquerors scratched and clawed their way through levels and boss fights, the Conquered poured over FAQs, Strategy Guides, Wiki Articles, Google Search Results, Let's Plays and How to Videos.
Therefore the Conquered subsist by virtue of the illumination spread over From's games by the Conquerors, entirely dependent on it. Overtime they've let themselves forget this, fancying themselves old hands as they bring their borrowed knowledge and tactics to bear on each successive release.

Spears have B scaling in Body stat. So once you use spears, you just have to raise body to get health and damage all in one stat. Add to this that the mid/low stance spear is crazy good by itself and you've trivialized the game. Congratulations

Why are people summoning as many phantoms as they can? Why do they refuse to follow me but refuse to continue on into an ambush, then after 5 minutes just run into the ambush without me? Why do they refuse to open shortcuts that I'm showing them?
Out of around 5 hours of co-op a grand total of 6 players have reached onryoki and 2 of them defeated it. The vast majority died to a summoned phantom, a yokai+mob that they ran into, or they got one-shot by the slowed yokai that I had been whittling down while they pissed their pants.
Seriously, I'm slowing the yokai and turning on kekkai to dissolve the puddles as soon as they drop while kicking to drain guard break meter and doing good damage to boot, what the fuck else can I do?

Look, it's true that Nioh isn't really that difficult and it just takes getting used to.
It's also true that the Souls games also used an approach of "dump everything on the player and let them sort it out"
However Souls games are much less technically demanding, and its systems are more readily apparent from the UI and nomenclature.
There is also the rather unexpected diablo-style loot element, and the difference between even the most basic common armor drops and the starting armor is unnecessarily stark in such a way that it will misinform people as to the nature of the game.
I hated it at first, and now I like it, and I'm trying to help other people progress and enjoy the game as well, but having your game be obtuse, complex, and technical all at the same time is sure to end in low sales with a small die-hard community.

Good game overall. I lost count on how many times I died on the first level but only died once on the second one (which was from Nue). This game really is the epitome of "git gud". You can spam R1 and roll just fine in Soulsborne but not this fucking game.

That happens when you panic push buttons when you're out of stamina. I believe it belongs in the game. In the options you can add the #'s of your Ki and Health on the bar, so you can find out exactly how much KI your combos take. You'll learn the combos and numbers and become one with your character and his abilities. Only then will you not panic push, because you'll know where you stand always.
