These threads are fun and all but it's about the standard fare for when a new game (or in this case where an existing game that hardly anybody on here played until the recent rerelease) gets release. It gets talked about for a few weeks, slowly devolves into nothing but waifu wars and then dies off.

Agreed. His is probably the hardest to wrap my head around. His body destroyed, turned into a machine, everyone thinks he a freak and he maintains an upbeat jolly attitude not bothered.
My best guess would be like his fight with Gundahm. Gungdahm was clearly doing something wrong and bad for Nekomaru but he was still gungho and encouraging him. My theory is he just ended up being a supportive coach for Junko and gave it his all. Kind of like
