yeah, i remember starting it up for the first time and seeing the menu, sounds, interface and all graphics ripped directly from fallout 1. Basically repackaging the same game as a "sequel".
At that point in time it was unheard of to do this. So yeah, fallout 2 is a classic. A classic in ripping people off and making a shitty game.
I was there-- fallout 1 wasn't particularly good. worshipping it in retrospect is a meme. Other things, like Quake, were going on that were about 30,000 times more important.
