Originally, he was just a guy in overalls and a safari hat. Named Eric in some PAL releases.
Then he was a little white robot trying to become human. An in the Turbografx remake, a robot created by a scientist.
Immediately after that he was some kinda regular dude that got framed by another black bomber. In the years to come, he was mainly a superhero/some kind of deputized officer in a race full of bombers on planet bomber. He was also an adventurer, kart racer, etc. He has a friendly rivalry with a black Bomberman who he originally fought against and became friends with.
The strange shit is none of the games are consistent but niggas from way back in the early games will show up as playable in the spinoffs and even mainline adventure games way down the road.
