i got 12 an hour in high school doing construction in the summer, you are a product your time and labor is a product if your Job is so easy a literal retard or cripple could do it your not going to get paid very much because any mother fucker could do it. you get paid more if your doing something that requires an education that not everyone has or is competent enough to do properly, or if your doing a job that is physically taxing that not many people are willing to do it. as a Carpenter there is a shortage of skilled labourers alot of companies are having a hard time finding machinists, electricans and other skilled trades because not many people want to do them or consider a career as a blue collar worker.
