Invaders don't want a fair fight, they just want an easy win. I've been using dried fingers with no summons so I can 1v1 invaders, and it's been sad. I don't even take a sippy until they do first, and 9/10 times they either get spanked or run off and hide until more invaders show up so they can try and gank me.
neither side of the invasion has any sort of code of honor to abide by, when they eventually face someone pretending to be honorrabru they don't give a shit, they've been fucked over too many times before to not heal

It's been the entire point of invasions since Demon's Souls, so that you could get your body form back, even if it was at the expense of another player.
yes, the darksouls pvp system is designed to be anti-fun and its just there to irritate people.

I invade to be a mini-boss.
It's the most fun way to play.
If they have summons? Then I use environment/enemies
If they're solo? 1v1 fair fight, I'll heal when they do

im doing a 99% equip load iron tarkus cosplay. Maybe if I were better I could handle a 2v1 or 3v1 ganksquad, but I just cannot (with this build at least), and it is not fun in any way to try to engage them. Plus, not enough dex for greatbow.

I don't invade to pvp with you, I invade to make your journey difficult. Every enemy's patterns can be learned and exploited, but a human opponent is often unpredictable and difficult to anticipate.
That is unless some shitty meta rears it's ugly head, then suddenly every invasion comes with a pattern.

I find when you have 3 people chasing you they tend to get careless about evading your attacks. Try throwing a charged r2 at them if you have the space to get one off while they chase you.
