Is this game real or fake? the sticker looks legit but it's not on straight. I cant see why anyone would put a legit sticker on a fake game but I'm pretty sure legit games would have perfectly straight stickers
>>
>>336165291
put it on the console and see what happens
>>
seal should be on the right

Why don't you try it first..
>>
>>336165471
On american games yes, thats an EU game which has them on the left

fake my friend. just emulate
>>
>>336167910
It's with a Gameboy Micro for a very good price if the game is real, idiot's will pay £25-£40 for a legit copy of Pokemon Emerald so I'll probably sell it
>>
>>336165291
That's what my legit yuropoor copy of Emerald looks like. My sticker is also slightly off centre
>>
>>336168119
What makes you say it's fake? everything looks right apart from the sticker not being straight. It's an EU game which is why things are in different places to your pic plus I've never seen fakes of EU games
>>
>>336168508
I didn't recognize it was EU. In that case it seems to be matching the pictures I see online. Best of luck.
>>
>>336168226
So who fucking cares if it's fake if you're not even going to keep it you autist.

>>336165291
This one is legit. It's an UK version cartridge (I have one).
>>336168119
This one is legit too, it's the US version cartridge (my brother has one). The US and UK cartridges are essentially the exact same game, but with a different sticker.
>>336169669
This one is fake. Just look at the dull colors an the shape of the label.

That's fake, faggot.

The front looks fine. Are there any photos for the backside of the cartridge?

Here are mine. Left is fake.

Open it, if you don't see a watch battery inside, congrats. You've got yourself a fake cartridge.

Another way of telling them apart without opening them is checking for this Nintendo logo here. If it doesn't have it it's fake.

There are fakes that have them, but sometimes they're mispelled.
>>
looks real from that pic, OP but it's a european copy. another easy way you can tell is the battery placement inside and the nintendo lettering on the gold contacts. otherwise, the label looks clean and printed correctly so it's very likely legit

Yes, anon, it's real.
I know it's hard to believe that a game as good as Emerald could have existed, but developers were just different back then.

I borrowed mine from my friend and he never asked for it back and we sort of drift apart as the years went on.

It's still in my drawer, I would return it if he asked for it but I doubt I would even see him again.
>>
>>336165291
I'm more curious as to why you'd even question if it's fake or not let alone just putting it in and trying yourself.

Do you even know how they put on these stickers? Because they might just use Chinese boys in sweatshop. Don't blame them for not putting on perfectly straight stickers.

High demand, just like with any Pokemon game, at least main series ones.

My guess is real. Fake ones usually use the standard grey cardridge I think

Big time game Ebayer here.

The pokemon gba games are one of the most bootleged games out there. Go on ebay right now and just look at how many Pokemon Emeralds there are right now. Look at how many people have more than one for sale, or have multiple auctions selling the 5 gba games in a set. This game and the two castlevania gba games are HOT botleg items because they can be easily sold to chumps for a quick $20-30 each.
If you are buying pricey GBA games, BUY ONLY IF THE ORIGINAL BOX IS INCLUDED. Plain and simple. ITs too bad these guys ruined easy collecting, but i dont buy any gba game now unless its in box.

Sorry OP, unless you got it from a legit source theres a good chance its a fake. Yours doesnt even have the ESRB
>>

Quick question, is there anything wrong with the bootleg carts other than the flawed resale value? Any glitches or abnormalities? I remember I once got a bootleg Heart Gold DS cart that I exchanged for a legit one at gamestop. The only issue the bootleg had was that it wouldn't save.

Europe doesn't have ESRB, famalam.
>>
>>336182209

my fake copy (>>336181814) corrupts after beating the elite 4, likely because of limited space on the fake cardridge.
>>
>>336182209
Got a bootleg firered once. You could save, but the next time the game was turned on it said your data was corrupted and had to start over.
>>
>>336182209
One time I bought a cartridge of Chaos Black but it ended up being this horrible remake of Pokemon Red with a really old version of RPG Maker.
Still it's a romhack but I thought it would be the actual game. I was wrong
>>
>>336182209
>The only issue the bootleg had was that it wouldn't save.
"only" issue.

In terms of the GBA games, you won't be able to transfer Pokemon to the Gen IV games if your copy is counterfeit.
>>
>>336182438
>RPG Maker
>on GBA
u wot
>>
>>336182478
The only issue I had come across anyway, but that's because I discovered it early on and exchanged for a real copy.
