Atlus USA is literally Atlus JP's bitch. They can not say anything until the yget approval from glorious nippon. Sometimes they're just straight up left in the dark until the last minute. A good example of this was the last delay; up until a week before Atlus USA was firm on a 2015 release, because Japan hadn't told them about the delay yet.
I'd bet $200 that Atlus USA does not currently know what's going to be announced at the end of that timer.
