the BBC's 30th anniversary version of The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, it's a "text adventure" but has enough pointy-clicky and graphics in this version

The end of this game is probably the best surprise I've ever experienced.
Chains of Satinav and Memoria are not quite known, but they are quite good. memoria in particular is excellent
The Night of the Rabbit is incredibly comfy, and the ending is wonderful

I don't do adventure games much but I really liked The Sea Will Claim Everything. It was a bit heavy handed, but I don't feel like the authors were trying to be subtle and failed but were just intending to talk to the person playing almost directly sometimes.
