Just picked this up for my xbox one. Huge survival horror fan. Im about 30 minutes in and im loving it so far. It has great atmosphere and the game looks incredible.

The atmosphere is on point. Truly creepy and generally edge of your seat. And the environment looks like it was ripped right out the movies.
The gameplay is simple enough but totally effective. The only complaint I've ever heard about the game is that it's very long and kinda drags on, but honestly I'd hardly call that a bad thing by too much.
Also Ellen Ripley is sexy.
It has a fuckhuge balance problem.
The Alien itself is fucking easymode after the first few times because you're given way more tools to deal with it than you should do. If you're smart and use all your crafting mats on noise makers, then it's a case of throwing one in the opposite direction of where you want to go and then you're free to move. Even later you're given a weapon that makes it back the fuck off completely.
The hardest part of Isolation isn't the Alien itself, but the Droids and humans because they can't be distracted so easily. Sadly it's in these situations where the terror really falls apart because all you do is PURPOSELY summon the Alien to take care of the problem for you, then use the aforementioned noisemakers to get by it.
This is also something that doesn't change with difficulty. So it doesn't matter what you choose, so long as you're not completed retarded with your crafting, you'll breeze through the game.
Oh, and beware of the bug is the Medical Bay chapter. You can do the entire chapter only for a progression bug (that there's still no way to fully avoid) to hit and lock out you're progress, forcing you to redo the whole chapter again and again until it sodding works.

I know there are zero prospects for a sequel but what would you want to see in one? The game hinted at some metroidvania concepts with upgrades to torches/hacking, I would like to see that more fleshed out. You can revisit old areas already in Isolation but there is little reason to do so.
