Does anyone have the same need to only play games through steam? for example i could buy POE for $5 through GOG but i refuse as i want my steam friends to know what i'm playing. Maybe its autism idk

Just load non-steam games into your library so you can "show off"
Some games just aren't on the Steam store, I got X-Wing from GOG before it showed up on steam, don't need to buy it twice.
You can add other games to your steam library and your friends will still see the popup if they have it enabled.
Unfortunately I don't. I just have too few chromosomes.

I don't understand this. If anything having my in-game time being constantly logged for anyone to scrutinize just makes me anxious and less able to enjoy games. If I could, I'd turn off the timer on Steam.
