I played SRB2 years ago when I first learned about these Sonic fan games. I always found the controls a bit iffy, but that was most like due to how I bound my keys. Because of the game's perspective I hate being in the water, I start getting haunting flashbacks to my childhood.

Not rusing. They're adding slopes to 2.2 yes, but also planning an SRB3 which is going to be god knows how much more advanced. It's using the same engine being used for that one golf game one of the creators made. Also, what "50 other engines"? You could count on one hand the only substantial 3D Sonic fan engines that exist, and half of them suck.
