Thinking about getting Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the Vita. Is it worth it?

Indeed, I played 4 a bit but never got into it. I don't have a 3ds anymore so the vita is my only option.

Alot of content but going to anything Pre 3rd gen after playing 3rd gen onward will be sheer suffering due to the broken hitboxes that plagued earlier MH games

He was referring to the fact that there are 2 analogs, so he wouldn;t have to reach around to control the camera and move with one hand.
But instead he would have to control the camera and press buttons with one hand now, so still using the claw.

FU is the pinnacle of the series in gameplay and content so yes, it's more than worth the measly $10 or so. however, if you're expecting to get your hand held and babied with nonexistent hit boxes, then you will hate this game and should go back to being a tri baby

I kind of miss the claw, I've all but abandoned the ranged weapons after P3 since it was so much nicer for aiming them on the move

If you don't know how well you like MH, just download the iso and use PPSSPP to try it out.
You get the niceties of using a controller as well as not having to spend a cent.
If you like it, then you can go and buy the actual games so that you don't have to go out of your way to play online.

Portable 3rd is easy, but it's got completely different content from FU and a lot of weapon updates
If you're emulating, grab the translation patched HD version of it, for whatever reason PPSSPP can run it just fine
