It hasn't lost its way completely considering that Conquest is actually a decent game. The waifus/husbandos are out of control. AlthoughI would be lying that I didn't find some of them cute.

Conquest is somewhat decent, but that's still just one alright game out of 3.
FE has always been a bit weeb, but focusing on the waifus and husbandos was a mistake. Too bad that's all the series will get, now that Awakening rose the series from it's shallow grave.

It just kills me how they made a point of acknowledging the complaints from Awakening including the criticism against the story, but still ended up with Fates' story. I know the rumor is that the manga/story writer that they had brought in had wrote a lot for the game and they end up cutting a bunch of it, and I'm just confused on why they thought what was left over was decent/coherent. I've been seeing that Hidden Truths and the Recollection of Bubbles/Heirs of Truth DLCs are even worse in regards to the main game's story.

I really hope FE15 is a remake of an older game rather than something new. Fates came right off the tracks after Awakening was done, and it was kinda haphazard in the way it was executed, even including the 500+ pages of story they wrote for the game.
Personally, I would like it if they remade FE4. They could keep the eugenics in that case if they insist on using it. Maybe even integrate FE5 with it as one game.I would say I'd like to see an FE game with a more contemporary setting but we got #FE out of that.
As someone who played the majority of the Fire Emblem games and was a fan ever since the first western release: I honestly dont care. I kinda like it.

That's how I am. I've been a fan since the first western release too, but right now I've kind of cooled off on the series. I think that Fates burned me out a bit, there's a lot going on in that game.
