The only fighting game I've ever enjoyed is soul calibur.
Pretty bad. I have about 75 hours in SFV and sit around super/ultra bronze.

Pretty good, I mostly play with my friends. I can manage a bit on Fightcade, but sometime I get destroyed. I only played SFV for a day at my friend's house, and I got from Rookie the Bronze with only a couple losses.

Awful. I've never been able to pull off special moves with any sort of consistency. My main gameplay tactic consists of either button mashing or spamming one cheap move. That said, I don't play them very often.

Fighting games are my bread and butter, that said I much prefer 3D fighters to 2D purely due to the greater freedom of movement. Soul Calibur is my favourite series thanks to the 8wayrun system.

It's because I never feel "ready." Like there's going to be something coming that I'm not going to know how to react to and lose because I'm slow to adapt. Felt like this could be relevant video for me and it kinda was, but felt that it missed the point for me.
Not being better is exactly my issue over not being good.
Failing at basic execution, falling for same gimmicks time after time and never reacting to slow reactable shit really gets under my skin while playing and it's annoying and frustrating.
Of course that's just something I tell myself, that I'm angry at video games because I can't even reach basic proficiency and it is completely possible that it wouldn't really matter how good I were, I would probably be the same.

I've been playing Birdie since release, he clicked well with me. Problem is many people are getting wise to his antics, so he's not as viable as other cast members. Though in the right hands, and an early control scenario, he's pretty fun.
Alex is a fun character. Easy frame traps and an overall fun style. Actually enjoying Guile too, having never really liked him. He's the most defensive of the cast I think, but has more than enough options to rush shit down on your opponent. Lot's of gamechangers with him.
