Nobody remembers the first two compared to the 'oh look we got Mark Hammill' third one. 3 is still good, but I just want more people talking about the first two more.
Oh, and god damn does the first one get difficult later on, if you manage to stick with the good ending path.

The other games are fucking amazing, don't get me wrong, but they're bogged down with what a souls game should be now. I mean, just look at DaS3. Great game but does nothing new.

you're forced to fight the final bosses without any of the good characters and as a result they have to be made easy as fuck

You kidding? The constant menuing was fucking abysmal. Treating yourself during every boss fight was stupid and takes you out of the fight. Metal Gear Solid 4 fixed that really well with the Octocamo. Despite it feeling less cool going into a menu and changing it yourself, there was still some interaction by making you lay down and sit there for a few seconds.

The controls were clunky, too. Why are kill and not kill on the same button decided through pressure sensitivity? I know Kojima or whoever on the team probably wanted to get the most out of the pressure sensitivity but that was idiotic. And not being able to crouch walk was also terrible. Thankfully 4 fixed that as well by implementing it. I can't remember if they did anything about the grabbing with a knife thing and holding the button in 100% to kill, since it's been a while though.

Still an amazing game though. There's more stuff I can't think of right now, but it's not a perfect game.

I have never played a single MG game (well, I played like 15 minutes of 1), but I can bet that it's some kind of a deep and thought provoking statement about how easy is to accidentally take a life or whatever.

Its initial premise is mind-numbingly retarded. There was absolutely no reason for Corvo to be silent when everyone accused him of murder. He easily could have explained that people fucking came over and assassinated him. Fuck, he could have said anything. It's made even more retarded when the guards then start accusing Corvo of nabbing Emily and hiding her. What the fuck? He did that in less than 10 seconds, by his fucking self?
