Is there a bigger scam than breeding season?
I forgot this game even existed,recently come back to it after like maybe 6 months and it's not even close to being done.

Huniepop,which as far as I remember came into reality a little before this, is basically a goddamn fullon commercial game series now and this piece of shit that is still in development? I mean I know they decided to ditch all the old art sometime last year and also have to redo the animations but this is still running on more time than it should. Not even half of the new animations are done and the gameplay part itself has not progressed at all.
Fuck it's not even fun. It's almost a shitty single mobage in design and its barely fappable. And don't even get me started how the general design direction of the game itself is ass and doesn't lend itself to an erotic setting.
This is just absolutely disgusting. I'm positively revolted. Shwig should just dump the damn project on its ass and start his own fucking patreon for weekly animations. At least then there'd be a sense of getting what you paid for.

You'd think somebody else with skill, talent and the ability to work quickly would've noted the massive (33K/Month) patreon funding for this sort of thing, made a demo for free with more animations then the breeding season people have put out in 2 years and then opened up their own patreon page.

Absolutely agreed but I think he fears that the portion of the monthly earnings he makes from this project, which already has backing and momentum, is higher than anything he could muster on his own.
He could also make more varied content on his own rather than being constricted by the game's theme, which would be a big plus, he is really creative.

Yeah, and huniepop probably made less in it's whole existence than Breeding Season pulls in in a month from Patreon.
All they do is post art on their blog, overhaul meaningless shit constantly, and very very rarely add a bit more content into the game. They do the bare minimum possible on purpose just to string along their patreon retards.
If they actually released it, it would be shit and people wouldn't back their patreon anymore because they wouldn't care if they made more shit at that point. Like this they can still trick people by making it look like it has potential.

I don't get why this game is popular at all. I tried it a while ago and it's pretty shit as far as sex games are concerned. It's not fun to play, the actual sex scenes are mediocre and I don't think it has a lot of potential for improvement.
I don't get who donates to their patreon at this point. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Mighty Number 9 if it follows the same fate of Hackfune's previous project (because it failed to reach "Battle Network" hype/marketing status before release), 3.3 million, Psychonauts 2's investment project sounds extremely fishy. There is also Season Passes for games with overpriced DLCs with little to no content, a bunch of successful kickstarter projects that got canceled months after the end of the "gib moni pls" period, etc.
I don't think Breeding Season is a scam, but I agree that it is very mediocre (even for this type of game) and a waste of money. A simple image set (animated or not) would be better than it. That is what they do most of the time (post new images on blog every now and them), anyway.

Breeding Season is probably the biggest porn scam in years. It's right up there next to Fenoxo for "hacks that barely do any work" but somehow it's worse.
Around the fifth fucking patch that completely broke every feature in the game, I stopped caring. They also ended up with less overall content around that time than they had a fucking year before because they randomly decided to re-do the art for most of the monsters.
0/10 the creators need to fucking learn how to manage time and create plans because it seems like they have no fucking idea what they're doing and they keep adding more shit to their already-stacked workload.

In TL;DR format:
It started as a farming breeding game where you'd get monster girl/boy creatures (and some feral animals) to fuck in order to make money for your farm (selling goods like milk, selling offspring, etc). It eventually expanded to include funky stuff like dragons, elves, monsters, and so on, along with having the player's character (who could be male or female) be able to fuck/get fucked.
That then expanded into further options such as different coloration of creatures, loli/MILF (and shota/buff guy) options for creatures, futa/standard options, being able to have gay/lesbian shit going on, and so on. In other words, it just keeps fucking expanding.
They're now trying to add some sort of story mode to it.

Art and animation actually takes time when your team is as small as Breeding Season's, the staff isn't scaled to the monthly earnings of Patreon and that's not really at the fault of the team. Throwing excess amounts of money at a limited number of people doesn't magically speed up the process.
