The Wii was a better console than the Wii U, Gamecube, and N64.
But Dark Souls is good.
I just can't get into your standard JRPG combat unless it does something to really make the system entertaining; it gets boring and repetitive really fucking quickly.
I used to play alot of Japanese games in general when I was younger, I can't bear to play any of the recent ones today. The only thing I can play is the FFTactics series

Earthbound is total shit. It has some of the most shallow turn-based combat I've ever played, you basically use the same tactic on every enemy in the game. No room for any complex strategy, just normal attacks on trash mobs, repeat the same inputs on the enemies you fight over and over. For bosses you just spam your most powerful attacks and watch them go down in a few turns. That and the game just loves to waste your time - the inventory system is fucking terrible, the walk speed is slow, fighting trash mobs is pointless and boring. I probably wouldn't have finished it without the fast forward function on the emulator.
