Imagine the sims, but instead of designing their house, you design their city, like in sim city, or whatever, with each monster living in their own city(or a few monsters in one city) and you control the monsters like in the sims and try to keep them happy, or say fuck it and let them destroy everything and die. Other monsters can visit your city and break your stuff or just eat some of your food or whatever and you can fight and stuff or befriends with them.

I want to be able to travel around the world looting chests from level one knowing there will be a small chance of actually finding some legendary weapon in one of them.
More importantly, I want level scaling and fast traveling to die in a fucking fire (but have horses and carriages be properly implemented.
I'm managing that shit with mods, but it's still clunky as fuck due to the default shit gameplay.

No, you dolt, a weapon clashing with another weapon provides resistance. If you are using a WiiMote, there's nothing to stop your physical swing when you're clashing weapons with another character. Your character's swing would stop but your physical swing will continue.
In an FPS, you can actually simulate feedback/recoil; it's called weapon spread and lifting your aim.

The problem with a hunter x hunter fighting game is that the fights aren't usually actually about the fighting, like it's more about strategy and stuff. If you make a fighting game you have to make every one more or less the same, power wise, and that kind of goes against one of the shows core principals.
