Why are MOBAs considered a casual genre when they take more time and effort to get into than any other multiplayer genre?

Because you either devote your life to getting good at them or become an angry soulless sack of shit trying.

It's lose/lose really.

Because it's assumed that by stripping down gameplay (removing base-building and having much fewer units/things to command) from RTSs the game becomes a lesser version of it.

I couldn't tell you which is more skillfull, but you definitely don't focus on the same abilities. The most obvious difference is RTSs are played 1v1 competetivley compared to the 5v5. You need a good team dynamic to do well in one and the other requires lightning fast reactions and actions all the time.

Because 95% of the tens of millions that play these games fall into the bottom three worst skill levels.

The vast, VAST majority of assfaggots players are complete and utter shit at their game of choice and have no desire to improve.

Just because high level play exists doesn't mean the game isn't casual. Any game can become non-casual just by speedrunning or similar.

MOBAs have team dynamics and alot more thinking and game knowledge that would ever be required in fighting games.

A high-level fighting game match is the equivalent of a mid-level MOBA match.
