>screen touch
what screen?
>>335987024
that touch area that emulates *gimmick* a screen
They were thinking "hey I bet some guy on /v/ will make a thread about it every single day"
So pretty much free advertising from (You) OP
>>335986932
it's great for pc users
probably useless for anything playstation related though
I like how it's used on PC but on the PS4 it's worthless.
Its worthless, an old laptop nub works better
>>335987303
plenty of things you can do with it, but almost no games bother with it
I've only seen a handful of small things like using it to scroll the minimap
definitely nice on PC anyhow, wouldn't want to pickup the mouse for small things when I'm using a controller -- nor use analog for it
>>335987268
>free advertising
If anything this should be a red light for people considering buying the PS4K/Neo/VR
>>335987131
how does it emulate a screen
>>335988123
screen in other parts of the world is not limited to image
it also means a "touching" screen similar to iphone
All they had to do was remove the light bar and it would just fine. No option to turn it off either, just Dim and still sucks up battery power when I have the speaker off.
>>335988328
What were they thinking when they added a speaker to the controller like the wii motion?
Is this 2006 where cheap speakers on the controller is a good thing?
>>335988328
light bar barely use any power at all, you can disconnect it and battery duration doesn't noticeably change -- just throw a tape over it if bothered (I did that and left only a very small hole so I can tell the controller's status)
the touchpad is what drains the battery
>>335988547
2 years after the release of PS4 and they still didn't release a patch to turn off the touch pad?
>>335988204
With an iPhone, you touch specific things. With a touch pad, you swipe and drag your finger around, in no specific place
>>335988547
I pretty much gave up on using it wireless, I always ended up needing to plug it mid-gameplay despite being fully charged beforehand
had to buy a new cable since the one they gave is too short and stiff
>>335988605
Turn off the touch tracking? It's still two buttons after all.
>>335987303
>it's great for pc users
Why would you slowly tumble around the touch pad when you can just reach for your mouse?
>>335988761
why would you have your mouse on the couch
>>335988761
Swiping your thumb a couple times is faster than reaching for the mouse.
So you can browse the internet with the DS4 touchpad?
that's a great feature, very revolutionary
>>335988839
Why would you sitting on the couch when you're at your PC?
>>335988943
yes but feels pretty bad for extended use
nice for small things now and then, but otherwise I'll want a real mouse
It's fine, the games that use it hardly use it for more than just extra buttons for menus or sliding it for QTEs or some shit
>>335988761
The main draw is that you can bind the button presses and what not to commands.
>swipe right to take screenshot
>swipe up to alt tab
>press left side to toggle reshade
>swipe down to uncap frame rate in emulated game
Shit like that. It's great.
>>335989032
I was being sarcastic
>>335986932
I was here making mock ups
Shall I post them all?
>>335986932
>mfw trying to play GTA V at my cousin's place with his PS4
THE FUCKING INPUT LAG
THAT TINY ASS CONTROLLER
How do they tolerate it?
>>335989367
So you can't use your old PS3 controllers and have to buy new ones
Simple as that
>>335989397
Maybe his TV FUCKING SUCK NIGGA?
now that Microsoft is not using the kinect the developers can release 1080p games
will Microsoft save this generation?
>>335989514
>>335988761
Playing a game that's just better on a console, such as an emulator, Dark Souls, GTA, etc
>>335989279
I use the button for push to talk
>>335986932
I think the idea was that PS4 was going to see a lot of mobile ports gesture based gameplay was the wave of the future.
remember Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds was hot shit when this was announced.
well If anything all the tech in the DS4 is awesome for on rails shooters like Blue Estate.

>playing FPS games with a controler
>>335986932
I actually like it, but just because is a giant easy to access "select button", so you can easly access you map in most games.
>>335988743
>had to buy a new cable since the one they gave is too short and stiff
I play with the controller pluged too, but I never plug it to the console, i have an USB adapter near to my couch so I connect the controller there and is almost as if it's wireless connected.
