Nameless King is probably the third most difficult boss in DS3, behind Abyss Watchers and the Champ.

I needed more than 5 tries with nameless.
I was underleveled before I beat him but his combos felt unintuitive to me. It took me a long time to get used to his combos because he oftentimes takes longer to attsck than I expected.
Like his dash around you, he finishes the dash and instead of attacking, he walks a few steps and THEN attacks.
Or his slow ass stab after a 2 hit combo.
He always cought me when my roll ended because of his delayed attacks.

Beat him fast. Twin princess gave me the most trouble in the whole game. They took me just about an hour, while Nameless King was around 20mins of trying.
Once I learned you could critical the dragon. That phase was easy. Once I learned that the nameless king is only open to attacks after he does long distances charges, he became easy. Twin princeses though, FUCK THEM. Faggot teleports every second and I couldn't tell if he was going to; wide sweep, over head slam, sword thrust or charged distance soul blade. 2 of these can be dodged by waiting a second, 2 of these will hit you if you don't dodge before the animation starts, so I would take lots of needless hits.
To beat twin princeses I put on some heavy armor and heavy shield and just tanked his unpredictable half of attacks. I didn't change any gear or play style for Gundyr part 2 nor Nameless king.

He is not. First form can be staggered out of attacks and 2nd too if you interrupt his power up with a backstab. If you hit him once or twice and then follow his dashes with yours you can keep attacking. That's without parrying.

Agreed. DS's defensive playstyle is a lot easier than BB's offensive fast pace style. I started with BB and then moved to ds1, and I literally never died once I got a decent weapon.
BB punishes you for retreating after taking damage, allowing the general damage to be much higher, ontop of the lack of shield. The rally system define's BB and raises the difficulty cap and floor immensely.

I can't speak for others but I've been with Souls since DeS and I simply play them because they're fun and I like them. That's really the main reason why I play video games. Difficulty and "hardcore gamer cred" has never been a reason. Is this really what things have come to? Not only Souls but I also like Bayonetta, DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Onimusha, Monster Hunter, Bloodborne, and most recently Nioh. I don't know why Souls always has to get shit on so much. The games have a good weapon systems and I like exploring and killing enemies and bosses. The games aren't "piss easy" nor are they "the hardest thing ever". The challenge feels reasonable to me. Some bosses are a little more difficult and take more tries while others don't.

Meanwhile I saw DSP deal out 400+ damage to the dragon in 1 hit,Either I was grossly underlevelled or DSP was overlevelled.

Nameless took me like 20 tries my first playthrough with a dragon crest/butcher knife.
Then took me like 3-4 on my second with a 2 handed Yhorm Machete. I just found him alot harder when the battle lasted longer because of my lack of damage out put.But when you can get 400-450 a chop hes really easy i feel like i could do it in 1-2 tries now.
Not gonna like 90% of his challenge comes from the fact you have to master the endurance round just to get a chance with the real boss each time. Which is easy now but at first was obnoxious.

DS3 has the least replayability out of the series. Magic is trash, straightswords are the best weapons period, and frankly a lot of the areas are copy-pasted shit(demon ruins, catacombs, Irythrill dungeon) and it has some of the shorter areas in the series. Garden, graves, dragon belfry, Smouldring lake, road of sacrifices.
Its easily the most flawed out of all of them and I am baffled that its considered the best in the series. It'd be another thing if it didn't rely so much on DS1 and DS2's assets and actually had a significant portion of new equipment and items, instead its 80% from old games barely anything new.

I had more trouble with 2prince.
Hardest boss for me was crystal sage and I have zero idea why. I beat nameless and soc in one try but he took me 15

The dragon gave me more trouble than the King. I took a few tries to learn how to avoid the dragon attacks, besides that straight down flame I could never predict, and the King took me two tries after that.

I think the flame triggers when you go too far under his belly, but don't quote me on that.
I just know I could get several attempts with no flame attack whatsoever by just sticking close to dragon's head.
Why is the Dark Sword so frowned upon when the standard Broadsword is lighter, quicker and just as damaging? I used it the whole game and had great damage against everything.

Well Greatswords make the game harder, they don't make it hard in a fun way.
They just make fighting certain bosses really tedious.
The games balance is all fucked up right now.
Making the enemies faster and more aggressive forced them to make a bunch of reactionary changes and the caused a ripple effect and now the game is all over the place.
Still had a lot of fun though.
Judging how hard these games are compared to one another is tough. Every new game I get a little better at souls. Like Demons Souls, I died on tower night a million times, red eye knights fucking my ass, all sorts of shit. Them as the games kept coming I kept getting better. I didn't even take a death in DS3 till undead settlement. Not because i'm some pro souls player but just because I know how the game wants to be played.

DaS had tons of shitty bosses apart from two or three, same goes for area.
DaS2 looked even worse then DaS in terms of graphics, animations, shitty online mechanics, boring as fuck atmosphere and story.
I can understand the love for DaS/DeS because of it establishing the IP, the establishing of lore and the npc's were pretty memorable.
But holy fuck playing through the previous souls game shows how badly they've aged.

The attacks are so slow, and enemies hit for so much damage, that they're not worth it. Why should I spend 3 seconds for one swing of my greatsword and taking a hit from a boss' super quick attack when I can respec to dex and deal similar damage, faster, more often, with less stamina loss, and actually recovering in time to roll out of the boss attack

You can pull them seperately and an unupgraded bleed weapon with Carthus rouge makes short work of them because they bleed very easily.

1. Don't attack his feet, the damage sucks balls
2. When his head isn't exposed, you can anticipate the fire attack, listen for the sound cue or just react to the wyvern jumping
3. Sticking by his neck will give you ample time to run if the wyvern firebombs, and ample opportunity to roll if the King makes a swing
That's just my experience, I never had trouble with the fire attack after the first time it fucking destroyed me.

Am I the only one completely disappointed with oceiros? He is one of the easiesy bosses in the game and I remember a fair number of people complaining he was hard. Not bragging (I got raped by Wolnir 5 times before I figured out that damn breath move so call me shit for that) but I beat him first try with only a few estus used. You stand next to him and move to the side and he will literally never hit you. The only hard part was running after him cause he charges away.

Oceiros is a very RNG heavy boss. He has a few hard hitting combos but if he gets stuck in his tail-spin loop or keeps breathing ice breath then you're guaranteed an easy fight.
Running around the arena trying to hit him is a pain in the ass, for sure.
God the pvp in this game is shit, its all the same builds. God forbid you don't feel like using a straight sword or an Estoc.
Say what you will about DS2 but it had the most balenced pvp by a landslide.

I know it's clunky compared to the other Souls games, but this motherfucker. He wrecks stamina bars if you use a shield, becomes more aggressive and combo-heavy as he loses health (which became the norm for bosses in later games), and punches you with explosions. Explosions! Maneaters are pretty bad too, since they're designed to shove you off a cliff.

Later I did it coop, and used that shield. It trivializes the whole fight. In fact great shields are op as fuck.
