Unfortunately 90% of the content post time skip has been ranging from absolute trash to mediocre. Dressrosa felt like just a poor remake of Alabasta, which was already a pretty bad arc.

One thing I love about hxh is that powerful characters stay powerful throughout the series.
There are a few reasons for this.
Togashi may decide he does not want any videogames for HxH to be made. It is his property and he has the right to do this.
Also, HxH is not popular and has not been for many years. Not since well before it started its long hiatuses.

HxH volumes do sell when they release. That is the limit to the title's commercial success. WSJ readers don't care about HxH and it is always near the bottom of the polls whenever a new chapter does come out.

I know that fucking feel man. I dropped OP after Alabasta, picked it back up and read through 90% of Skypeia (however the fuck you spell it), dropped it for another year or two, then forced myself to at least finish that last 10%, which was a year ago.
I hear it finally starts to get good roughly where I'm at but it's going to take myself awhile to force myself start it. And I only bother picking it back up because I hear all sorts of praise from people so I feel like if I keep going I'll finally discover what makes OP so loved.
