Doesn't that distort the game slightly, I notice text and menus look all jagged at that resolution.

Happens in a few games, it use to be that MGSV scaled perfectly at 1440p and looked great but then after an update I would get choppy text at any resolution that wasn't 1080 or 4K, and it's been that way anytime I try it in any game.
I might have to turn my smoothness setting on but I don't really enjoy using it, it seems games only really look their best at native or 2x that.

I guess it could be the smoothness settings that does it, mine's always been set at 33%. Then again, if you've never used the smoothness option and it looked great before, I have no idea what the issue could be except maybe faulty drivers.
Souls series in general has shittacular graphics. I just played through half of DS1 on PC with maxed out mod settings and this fucker looks like final fantasy 12 on PS2. The garden and basin areas in particular...fuckkk me. It's not even THAT old either, end of 2011 it came out. DS2 manages to look worse somehow. Bloodborne is the only one to come out that was up to date with technology.

not the anon you're talking to but I'm on an old driver from january and my DSR works fine. I never noticed any effect at 33% but lowered to 20% and my games are beautiful
