I honestly haven't even gotten myself to play it. I know the tweest and I was so very excited up until a few months before release.
Once it started becoming clear that there would be next to no story, I lost my hype. After release and finding out what the game really was...I dunno, I just couldn't muster up the energy.
Besides, I need to play GZ for all unlockables and I just don't really wanna do that.

It gets a lot of hate by MGS fans who wanted more of their anime story but it should be recognized as the best splinter cell game ever made.
I was so ridiculously hyped when this trailer dropped.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. All the other trailers just din't click with me. Something went horribly wrong with Kojima, he went full "I'M DIRECTING" and started to abuse long-takes and drawn out character actions (he probably thought it looked deep or something).
By the time the game came out, I didn't care at all and the game's shittiness didn't even hurt.

Just accept that the roman numeral "V" implies spin off then treat the game as a PMC simulator, which makes a lot of sense coming straight from MGS4 and Peace Walker. You are building a PMC, and while on the field you are recruiting enemy forces to come work for you. Don't even stealth because you aren't a real Snake, use your PMC power and funds to deploy chopper assistance and put those /k/ toys to work. Only in this way, will MGSV actually be fun to play.

Honestly I played the game stealthy for the second half and /k/y for the first half and I liked it both ways.
It's an insanely fun game to watch someone play, I like to drop in a side op area and just quickly try to do the side op as loud as possible. One time I called an air strike on a building with a prisoner in it, didn't end well but it was great.
