I got it to hold myself over until Dark Souls III came out, and ended up liking it a lot more. It's a great game, and it's only major flaw is that it's SUCH an obvious Souls ripoff that if you can't let that go, you're not gonna enjoy it.

Oh, and there are some balance issues, like with greathammers being ludicrously overpowered, but at least nothing feels gimped. I had as much fun playing as a sorcerer as I did playing as a knight with a giant pair of scissors as a weapon.

it's ok. the art style is awful because it uses that "pieces of paper nailed to each other that rotate around" style for character animation that you see commonly in shitty free flash games.
they translated the souls gameplay into 2D pretty poorly. you just R1 spam and roll like souls, but now you don't even have to choose where to roll except for forwards and backwards, and forwards is always better.

I did play it actually. It was decent. Too bad they wasted time with the reversal gimmick that didn't add anything to the game and a lack of weapon variety.
