I've played the whole trilogy
Drake's Fortune is one of the most repetitive things I've ever endured. It's not fun, it's not challenging, it's just hyper linear and tedious.
Among Thieves was better, but still suffered from many of the same problems. Set pieces and puzzles are still one-note, and the game is still a linear storybook with repetitive combat sequences.
Drake's Deception I almost liked. The story may have been a step down from 2, but the combat for the first time felt a bit more invilved, and the level design, while still linear, was varied nicely.
I haven't played the last of us, but I doubt it's much different. From what I hear it's largely the same only with ladders instead of climbing.

To each their own, for me personally the only 360 exclusives I cared about were Halo, Viva Pinata, Ace Combat 6, and Vesperia - and for the Wii, I'd say there's about 12 or so that I still give a shit about.

Uncharted 1-3 were barely worth the playthrough, gow 3 was the same shit as the previous ones, ascension was even worse somehow, mgs4 is movieshit as OP said and really wasn't that great anyways. The PS2 ratchet and clanks were leagues better. Infamous 1 was ass and 2 was okay but I wouldn't recommend it as a great game. Can't even think of any other exclusives at the top of my head.

Care to elaborate? Every aspect of 2's writing was superior with the exception of maybe Kessler. Cole actually had a personality outside of brooding outcast, Zeke was useful for once, and there was an actual endgame to the plot. The Beast added a certain end to Cole's story in both the good and evil playthroughs. The writing in the first one simply gave a start to the series and nothing more.
