Nope. No one will buy a third Modern BF in a row. Lots of people are still playing BF4. There won't be some magical leap in gameplay that makes people "upgrade". It'll be a different time period or bust.

I wish theyd make a remaster of BC1 and 2 for current gen. BC1 was my favorite multiplayer game up until 2015 when it really started dying for good. Ill never forget the memories i had with that game

If it's another modern shooter I won't bother getting it until it's like $20 with all the dlc like I did with 4. There really wasn't much of a difference between 3 and 4 so I doubt 5 or whatever they call it will be worth getting if it's all the same.

The big reveal happens on the same day bottomless pit releases so ill be too busy
I doubt any setting they'll pick could still excite me. Besides a Battlefield 1820 or a cyberpunk Battlefield there isn't much that wouldn't seem like something that had been done before.

2142 had real future weapons though, they are still ballistic and not muh lazors but they aren't comparable to anything that is currently on the market and game had giant flying ships and whatnot, future enough for me.

I loved BC1&2, they were just plain fun. Didn't take themselves too seriously but still had a great competitive edge.
The Vietnam expansion is easily one of my favourite video game DLC/expansions of all time.

It's alright now because you can find premium for basically pennies but at the time it was absolutely horrible. I remember being only able to play between two servers because all the other ones were DLC only.

Premium will never go away but here is what they should do with it

There is literally no reason for this change to fit in with the new style other than planning to release a sequel/remake that fits in with it.
Or maybe they're going to be tricky bastards and update EVERY game's icon to the new style over the course of this week to make the speculation go nuts.
