how did i fuck up that bad
>kickstarter floundering
>biggest complaint is no gameplay footage/demo
>cancel kickstarter until you have demo/footage
>PLAYED LIKE A FIDDLE
Damned if you do, damned if you don't I suppose.
>Pressing Pause for a gameplay demo
that sounds good

>game developers realize they did something dumb and actively begin correcting it instead of throwing a fit about entitlement or something
Wait what the fuck
>>335908809
You shoulda done this from the start Romero you fuck. All you need to do now is not use kickstarter or any of those things.

Is it sad that I'm shocked to read that? What has happened.
>woopsie daisy
>we were completely unprepared to show you we're competent and that you should give us your money
>this sort of lack of foresight definitely won't translate into the development of the actual game; we learned our lesson
>we had no idea people would want to see actual gameplay before buying into an idea!

Even people with extremely successful crowdfunding campaigns can be incompetent hacks. See picrelated.

Oh boy. Abandon thread before the Star Citizen Autismos see that.
> Romero becomes a literal who over the years working on mobile games
> hypes himself up by releasing a new doom level
> carries that momentum to make a point about his doom level in the kickstarter video
> cancel their kickstarter to get three times the headlines for when they cancelled it and when they relaunch it
Many of you are too young to remember and assume Romero is a great game designer, but what you do not know is that he is an even better salesman. He hyped doom up too to be the moonlanding of videogames. And now he is doing it again.
>100 out of context threads later
/v/ is so terrible.

It wasn't going to reach the goal and if it did it would be just barely. They expected more for literally nothing but ideas.
