Makes sense. LP's are the equivalent of watching unpaid streams movies/tv shows online. You're consuming content that cost millions to make, and you don't pay. Most would admit that they gain the same or almost the same enjoyment from an LP as playing the game. It's why they LP rather than play, after all. Let's Play's are modern piracy and for the sake of the developers and the industry. There should be a crack down on it. Do you want to watch that LP? That's great. But you have to buy the game or rent an LP licence. Say the LP licence is 70% of the price of the game, and you get the option to upgrade it to a full licence to play the game when adding the other 30%. I know this solution is problematic, because many would feel LPers would just settle for the 70%, but it's a start. It doesn't have to be a single leap, but multiple smaller steps.
