You need like 7-10 attacks with a weapon from the ultra heavy classes to break it. 10% isn't gonna help you, because they won't even be enough to get you a net extra hit increase. And you don't have enough stamina to do that many attack in a row anyway.
The ONLY case where it can help is Winged Knight weapons.
Now the Horsehoof ring is actually useful. It takes ~2.5 kicks to break a greatshield guard without it. And it makes your kicks 30% stronger, so you save a whole extra kick.
Not that any of this matters anyway, because a competent greatshield user won't let you guard break them anyway. They'll just roll away in the worst case.

but now i tested out the fire attack that it comes with, i just thought it was shit at first, until i unlocked and actually aimed it and predicted where they would run, usually they run to the side, and i can predict where they are, it's the kind of feeling you get when you jump scout hs someone who is using an awp against you.
highly recommend the firelink sword, even though i shouldn't because NO ONE except me uses it.

No it isn't, it's a bad design choice meant to limit the range of possible invasions. DaS1 countered twinking by allowing invaders to invade infinitely upwards which meant you were going to face some challenging fights eventually. You can't do that now and that is stupid as hell.
If you wanted to counter twinking you could set up level reqs for upgrades and not introduce things like lightning or raw enchants.
You can still twink as much as you want, you just can't invade in higher level areas.

It's good for a low level build and when you are not fighting bosses. If you're up against something doing damage in the high hundreds the ring is going to crush you, but if you're up against a bunch of level 30 shitters the ring gives you a free 15 levels with very little drawback as low level players will have a hard time hitting over 300.

Yes this ring is great. Use this with rof +1 cloranthy +1 and rosp. Using butcher knife and broadsword with havel shield. Pretty much an unkillable fat roll tank build in pvp.
