The cost of the game takes into account all work that takes place prior to its release, that includes Chaos.
Buying it where you get Chaos as a pre order 'bonus' = A fair price
Buying it post release and having to buy Chaos separate = a lose for the consumer, as you pay for Chaos twice.
All this means now is that if you preorder or buy it within the first week you get the more fair price, and if you buy it later you get the unfair one.

I kinda' like this decision. Not just because it's fucking free DLC, but it shows pride in their product.
Baiting people into pre-ordering with free DLC is something developers do when they don't have much confidence in their game selling well after release. After people have actually played it and word-of-mouth catches up.
The fact that they're giving this DLC out even after the game's released would have been a clever play if they KNEW the game would be shit, but only if they announced the free stuff AFTER release.
Giving away free DLC to players after the game's come out shows that they think people will really like this game and that kinda' confidence spreads among consumers.
This was a clever move if the game's good, and they seem to think it is.

I only have a few moments to respond but are seriously taking about broken units in the same context as praising RTW? Have you played Hammer and Anvil Simulator recently? Pikes alone far trump any broken units in M2. And again I implore you to replay RTW because pathfinding is just as fucked in that game as well, especially in city battles. These are blemishes on the entire series people have just accepted because of CA's incompetence. Be fair in your judgment.And be honest, Medieval 1 is best Total War. Dickass pope, civil war, and Golden Horde were the best combo of late game mechanics they've had.

Im mostly waiting on Ogre kingdoms and Lizardmen DLC.
Dorfs are fine, but I played ogres on tabletop and ran my friends lizardmen army a few times. Both are fun as shit. There's just something about having cavalry that can even make chaos warriors piss themselves.
