Champion Gundyr is fucking unsoloable, frame perfect fucking kicks and shoulder charges, attacks so fucking slow then can mix in fast hits with the same start up that you can only parry them by pure luck, he's unpredictable, does a shit ton of damge and never gives you a break so that means you have no time to heal up, and to top it off he is tanky as fuck

Killed him solo on my second try with an UGS. Just be patient, wait for his combo to finish, get a hit or 2 in, then go on the defensive. Honestly he's not that bad.

Your weapons are fine, But when it comes to the arrows as long as you arent fat rolling you can outrun them, And you can break into a sprint while being locked on so it's very easy to do now. Alternativly make yourself lighter by removing the shield entirely, Blocking his shit is kinda suicide, Since it either instantly breaks your stamina or goes through the shield entirely.

Don't let him get spells off in the first place rush him when you first enter the room and then when he begins his teleport animation start hoofing it to the opposite side of the room as that is usually where he will go. If you stay on his ass it's quite easy.

Champion Gundyr is one of the coolest and most intense boss fights in the game, so don't give up on it. He telegraphs his every move, and you cannot get greedy or you will eat shit with his Mortal Kombat combos that he likes to use.

It's mostly about your weapon, but yeah, scaling helps. Also twohand your weapon for bosses. Very few benefit from using a shield vs them unless you are built around using a greatshield. Just consider it all practice with rolling (which would have helped you with Wolnir, though being that fucking close to his arms probably made it difficult to see)

I honestly solo beat him first try with a club and shield. I kept expecting something to pop up out of him like the first one because of how easy it was. It's not like I was over leveled either, I had done almost no co-op at that point. Abyss watchers, sulyvhan, and dragonslayer armor on the other hand took me about 10 tries each
