how you liking the ep?
Just bought it

>how you liking the ep?
Good but the framerate is absolute garbage.
Playing on 30fps locked since Hitman doesn't require the precision of 60fps.
GTX 970 meme card and i7-4790k too.
>>335843938
I've been avoiding discussion of the new Hitman until now. How is it? Is it a worthy successor to Blood Money?
My best run so far. Silent assassin, suit only, no knockouts in 8 minutes and 7 seconds.
Got detected by god know what retarded shit, but still qualifies for SOSANOKO.

I'm sure there's a way to optimize here and there.
I hope the escalations don't focus too much on the mansion going forward.
>>335844632
>that breaching charge
just when i thought i did everything
>>335844693
second escalation already 2 targets in front of the mansion and one near the beach
>>335844564
It's good. I don't think it's up to Blood Money, but it's a solid Hitman game.
>>335844564
after the paris level I was ready to say it was a great attempt to return the game to its bloodmoney roots
Sapienza, for me, just took it to the next level. It feels even more open and there's so much shit going on, I can't get enough of it. Exploring apartments looking for tools/costumes/vantage-points, escape routes through a rudimentary aquaduct system connecting major buildings in the city, there's a lawyer's office I'm convinced will be used for something but I haven't figured out yet. I'm loving how much work they're putting into the world that isn't directly tied into the locations immediately surrounding the targets (i.e. outside the main mansion, ruins, and underground lab).
Also, am I alone in feeling that this is the most bond-like hitman has ever felt? Everything from the music to the settings to how 47's character is being cast in relation to the main baddy, to the ambiguous morality of the ICA and the non-assassination related objective, not to mention the unlockable entry point in the ICA safehouse. It just feels more like a blend of spy/assassin than before. Really getting a kick out of the story so far.
need fucking help though:every time I attempt the telescope kill, he walks right up to it after I activate it by shooting the mechanism from my vantage point on the church's belfry. I wait for him to get into position, then I shoot the lens, but instead of getting the kill I always get "TARGET ON LOCKDOWN." I've reloaded 4 times and each time I never get the assassination. Is there something I'm doing wrong? anyone experience similar? is there a way to guarantee my timing?
>>335846226
They're deliberately taking cues from the Bond films.
>>335846839
well that's fuckin cute
>>335842238
>>335842726
don't know about what existed before, but making one was easy enough
>get back to work BOY
Was going to let this guard live, but nah I'm not having that
>>335846839
I've never played any Hitman but I like the aesthetic a lot. How do experienced Hitmen like it?
>>335847309
I'm actually really happy with the new one so far, everyone hated Absolution and we expected the new game to be equally shit but they're really building on what made Blood Money good.
>>335847309
IOI have been putting together fucking amazing aesthetics in their games for a little while now. Kane & Lynch 2 was the first time they really blew me away (visually), the new Hitman is continuing that trend. Right now they're one of my favourite western developers.
>>335847021
put the ica logo on the monitor
>>335843938
these games suck and are for casuals since no run and gun action.

hope next ones will be longer, else this will need few seasons to be introduced properly
>>335848058
this one?
>>335843938
Its up there as one of if not ( the ) best Hitman maps ever made.

I can't wait for Thailand and Japan.
>>335848743
yeah, nice
>>335848707
>Thailand
>Japan
fuck is there a confirmed list of locations?
all I know is the next one in the embassy
>>335848991
>tfw I didn't even see the equipped shovel until it was too late
>>335848906
https://hitman.com/news/hitman-release-details
it's old, but only release format has been changed
>>335848906
Yep here are the unreleased locations:
Morocco
Thailand
USA
Japan (which is the season final)
>>335849143
>Thailand
so psyched to see what they will do with it
>>335848391
Nah.
The length of that scene was perfect: It told us everything we needed to know without dragging itself out. The Hitman games have always had good cutscenes, and I think that's partly due to how brief they are.
how do I unleash the kraken?
post yfw japan level will have ninjas
>>335849736
I'm actually hoping we'll get to revisit Hidden Valley, if only to see IO poke fun at how godawful that mission was.
>>335849736
there's got to be a ninja costume in there
there's fucking got to be
inb4 cries of cultural appropriation
>>335850128YAAAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEE YAME
>there are people on /v/ supporting this unmitigated cancer
>>335850146
both maps so far have parody costumes of there respective locations
Paris - Vampire Costume
Italy - Plague Mask
I think its save to say we'll get a samurai Armour outfit like in past games.
>>335850271
>stop liking what i don't like
>>335843938
looks like a 2009 game
>>335843938
is the new jaeger sniper rifle good?
>>335843938
Why does Sapienza look like such shit compared to Paris?
No matter the settings, I feel like the internal resolution as well as texture quality is being downscaled.
Other than that though, jesus christ Sapienza is fucking amazing.
>>335850478
It's the console version, that's why
>>335850478
that's cuz I'm playing it on a 2009 computer
sorry bro. All low or medium settings. Still, averaging 50 fps and the main slowdowns come from transitioning quickly from one area to another (eg entering the cave through the cliffside door)
>>335850784
no that's my screenshot, you can see it says "X" to vault. I'm using kb+m
>>335850630
guessing that it's due to the number of textures they need to cache being comparatively higher than paris'
>>335850549I don't know I haven't unlocked it yet. Heard it's not silenced, though, which is kindo of a bummer.
>>335850146
>that level in Hitman 2 where they all take their AKs to the mosque and have them next to them during prayer
The shit you would get for that nowadays
>>335850912
>guessing that it's due to the number of textures they need to cache being comparatively higher than paris'
I suspect you're right, but it should be scaling a hell of a lot better than it is.
Also it looks like they've completely overhauled the particle system, lower res textures on everything, fewer particles, it's no longer volumetric either.
>>335850352
But vampires are from Romania not France
>>335851564
he meant because it looked fucking gay
>>335851564
It's meant to be reminiscent of The Phantom Of The Opera, hence the long cape and the costume's position in the attic.
>read Silvio's bio before starting

Like most Italians really.
