T-they're not going to use this with Homefront: Revolution are they?
>>335833153
I think you could say the whole industry is on life support.
Hopefully crash soon.
>that one autistic no lifer who keeps shilling about denuvo aka irrelevant games
>>335833443
>shill
Anybody who bombs a thread with that is the true autistic.
And nobody in their right fucking mind would shill a goddamn DRM, you idiot.

videogames aren't even a third of the piracy market, especially not AAA games. The big bandwidth hogs are TV shows, movies and music especially when TV shows aren't available everywhere (for example, canada). Also people who pirate games never fucking seed. Even fucking chinks that STILL pirate windows xp fucking seed because they want continued access to it.
The larger threat to piracy is software-as-a-service, as opposed to being a product. But even then, people will just switch to freemium services (ala Google Drive). Most videogames aren't pirated because they're already free-to-play. Steam isn't even a third of what Google Play is.
>>335832810
Why would you want to play that turd?
>>335832713
>Implying Denuvo isn't a seal of shit game
>>335833278
The AAA industry is probably going to crash once Sony and MS succeed in splitting their userbase. Expect it within five years.
Problem is that out of it, "gaming" becomes almost entirely mobile or F2P garbage (ala Dota).

Who the fuck cares? We're all like 30 here and can afford games.
Name me one good game with Denuvo in it
My only worry with Denuvo is how it effect backwards compatibility. In 10, 15, even 20 years if I wanna go back and play something is Denuvo gonna fuck me?
>>335833773
Thanks for proving my point, retard
>>335834368
ME Catalyst is looking really good.
>>335834368
To be fair no one is able to play denuvo games to tell if they're good
>>335832908
Grape status: Sour
>>335832713
Why pirate anything? Thanks to Mass Effect 2 I'm immune to hype trains and I don't care if I buy games 2-3 years after release.
I buy all my games from Steam once the ultimate/definite/whateverthefuck edition is on -75% sale.
>nobody cares about Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider or JC3 so they don't count
What will /v/'s excuse be when every PC game uses it? There's no reason not to, because apparently if your game doesn't sell 10 million copies it's not going to get cracked.
>>335834487
Denuvo works by having specialized executable patches for tons of hardware configurations. The executable loads the patch from a server based on your configuration. This implies two things: they have to keep making these patches for future hardware, and they have to keep servers up to serve them
In 10-20 years, Denuvo games will probably have denuvo removed by the publisher because it will be too expensive to maintain this for a dated game that isn't selling anymore.
>>335832713
I only pirate games from GOG
I've been playing "The Curious Adventure" and "FTL: Special Edition" and maaaan
I'm definetely going to buy them on Steam though. FTL has me hooked, and The Curious Adventure is pretty nice, only still in development
>>335832713
>r-russians will crack it!
>n-nothing is uncrackable! it'll be useless in no time!
never change /v/
>>335835124
you dont even have to wait that long. new games can be had for 30%+ off on day 1 from legit sites. hell, even mad max was 50% off for a week or two before it even came out. as for complete editions you can count on one hand how many season passes actually added something useful to the game, the vast majority of them are trash like the arkham knight season pass that so many people fell for.
>>335832810
Go fuck Neptune, Plutia
>>335834364
>we're all like 30 here
have you ever been on /v/ before? 90% of these faggots are 14-18 years old
Based Denuvo is gonna bring a new PC gaming Golden Age.
>piratecucks on suicide watch
>>335835761
Some games have decent DLC and I don't honestly care waiting for years. Most games nowadays are riddled with bugs and complete shit on release anyways.
>>335832810
Or you could, you know, buy it like a normal human being?
>>335835618
What's the difference between pirating games from GOG and steam?
Why do pirates feel the need to constantly justify thier actions? Sounds like a guilty concence to me
>>335832713
>every single Denuvo game has been a bomb or at the very BEST matched the previous game
Arkham Knight has something insane like 1/6th the sales as Arkham City on steam.
>>335836480
>on steam
That game killed it on consoles and PC was always an afterthought with it.
>>335836480
That probably had more to do with it getting much worse reviews than the City
>>335836480
probably because it was a piece of shit on launch and for those who stuck with it found it to be a horrible tank simulator game with a final boss being a cutscene. it took 4 months just to sell 5 million copies on two consoles.
>>335836268
>pirates
>>335837482
What exactly are you implying?
>>335833832
Speak for yourself. I seed at least double the size of every torrent as a rule of thumb. Most of the time it's double that, but I take it off if I think it's shit after 200%.
I'm deleting this thread from my bookmarks, none of you guys are worth my time.

Why are all denuvo games shit?
How many games uses Denuvo?

>>335834368
JC3
>>335838014
I always tried to seed, but for whatever reason it doesn't happen for me any more.
It happened when I still used deluge, it still happens when I moved to qbit.

DARK SOULS 3 WILL USE DENUVO GUYS

Denuvo protects shit games like multiplayer only game battlefront.
>>335845514
In a way, Denuvo protects you from wasting your time downloading and playing shitty games.
They actually a good thing.
>>335832713

GOG has no DRM so you can just install and play without having to use a crack.
