I've had the chance to play it already and thought i'd share my experience with you.
World

When you start the demo, you are shown the intro clip. Link wakes up from a tent and goes outside. He is in a large wooded area. He is wearing a hooded cloak and has his hair in a ponytail. He has a small sword and his bow. No shield.
Gameplay is getting the book, one dungeon and free roam in between the demo dungeon and the starting village where you acquire the book (presumably Link's home, though it isn't made obvious)

I'll answer any questions you might have about the game. The demo was a lot better than i anticipated, but it doesn't feel at all like a Zelda game. The map isn't empty as i feared. The transformations seem cool, but i didn't see any in the demo. The book is also in the title of the game.

How big is this world so far, and what kinds of enemies do you face in it and in the dungeon mentioned?
Does it pose somewhat of a challenge?

The world is surprisingly big. And as i mentioned, it isn't 'empty' as a lot of people fear. You can see a lot of detail in the distance.
Enemies i faced were spiders (classic), humanoid troll looking guys, and inside the dungeon, humans. Only two though. The dungeon is themed on two thieves.

The combat feels a lot different. But at it's core it's simplistic. You do need to pick your fights a bit more as opposed to mashing. The bow has bullet time, kind of cheats it.

Both had ranger cloaks. One has a sword and the other has a bow. You need to deal with them both at the same time, the bow deals a fair amount of damage. They look similar, maybe brothers? They are trying to steal things from the dungeon, which is why you first enter.

It's.. ok? I didn't really see what the fuss was about. The horse just has a collision detector and will turn slightly, but in a non jarring way, if that makes sense. It looks nice, makes traveling long distances easy, but it's simple really.
Are there any slots on weapons/equipment that add certain attributes? How long are the day/night cycles? Did the art style change any?
I am interested to see more gameplay at E3. I want to see some story. This is the most mysterious Zelda yet.

You control the horse, but if you just hold forwards, it will dodge things automatically. It sees them coming and moves accordingly. It doesn't just dart left or right.

i saw 3 masks. One was a silly face with it's tounge out. The second was a bird beak with one large feather. The third was a scary one with one large and one small eye, sharp teeth and a hole where the nose should be. The scary one made the villagers shriek
More likely, you get the green tunic within an hour, the book is the Navi/Tatl/Midna/Fi, and it's going to be the same eight dungeons shit with a wide open field of fucking nothing like Twilight Princess. The bow is so important because it's the main gimmick to work with the Wii U Gamepad/NX controller.

Honestly, I was very interested to see more at E3, painfully so, but now I'm worried they'll show too much and I don't want to be spoiled.
All I really want to see is a small trailer showing a FEW details, not literally all of them.
Show me what caves look like, show some swimming, and a few tantalizing teasers of things like towns and interesting things you can do within the world. That's all I need. No telling us literally the entire first half of the storyline which we'll all find out for ourselves when we play it, no ruining the surprise of cool boss fights, or overworld secrets, etc. But knowing what they did with Mario 3D World, and knowing that this game will get the most time of E3, it is inevitable that they'll show too much.

But it's basically one whole town (which is quite big by the way), a forest area and a dungeon (small). There's enough content for a demo, but it's a very small area in comparison to the map

No. You will be punished for taking on more than you can handle. Enemies won't die in 3-4 hits anymore and some have weak points to take advantage of.

It's reminiscent yeah. Like how the inputs for the secret skills were simple but effective. You can do a variety of different sword skills with ease.

There is a claymore, which i would imagine is 2h since it's absolutely huge, but i didn't see it in action. Dualcasting sort of. I said earlier, you can cast with a 1h sword. If you have a shield equipped obviously you can't cast. If you have the bow out and you cast it enchants it.

I only saw humans apart from the humanoid troll/goblin enemies.
