I think they might do something like they originally planned for Genealogy but used chapter saves instead. Which was kind of a compromise between Classic and Casual.
Each character would have 3 hearts and if they lost all their HP they would lose 1 heart and if they lose all three they're permamently dead. That would probably fit a mobile game quite good because they could sell a way to restore hearts/lives.

In 3ds Fire Emblem the touch screen was used more for as your information provider to terrain, objectives, and units. Much faster than having to wait a half second for the screens to change each unit you're checking.

Depends on how limited the Master Seals are and how good certain units you can get are as well. I mean if you have really good prepromotes you can get (for example: Seth, Titania, Haar, Shinon, Perceval) then you don't really need to use the micro transactions.
