Mobile and PC F2Ps. Why do you think this gen had a slow start? All the publishers were saving their workload to see if the consoles would flop or not. If they had flopped, they would've pursued other markets. Japan especially is in a fickle position. They need strong hardware sales to make consoles more lucrative than mobile and Pachinko. PS4 was the only console this gen to actually put up the numbers needed to convince publishers to stick to the formula.
PS4K lengthens this console gen by offering a high-end model to more dedicated players while making sure the vanilla version is made cheap for light gamers who don't care about frame rate or resolution.
