Thats because your pc is shit or you are trying to play something crazy like 4K footage thats uncompressed in VLC.
What vegas is doing is preloading a lower res file that you work with in the timeline and then it applies those changes to the files itself when you encode. Theres an option to change the resolution, but its probably working with like a 800x600 rendering in the program itself. Youre not actually playing the uncompressed file.

Just started, planning to do a video on Overwatch when it comes out.

Starting up a youtube channel with the intent of making really, really gay content (as in jokingly gay, something you can laugh at - not serious gay).
I'm kind of hesitant to include my voice in these sort of things - part due to lack of adequate recording, part due to not being confident in my speech (that said, I do get complimented a lot that I have a good voice if that means anything).
Should I just make the first few vids without including my own voice, to see if I can actually make view worthy vids without including my voice? It should be able to get the creative juices flowing, and I've already got a few ideas.

For me it generally depends on how narrative heavy the game is. And if I feel as if I should be paying attention to every little detail. Unless I've played and beaten the game before than I'll listen to commentary if I think the person is funny enough.

I took a look, your problem is your god damn keywords. Some of the videos don't have any whatsoever, and the ones that do have single word nothing keywords that wouldn't get picked up anyway.
You need full descriptive keyword/sentences for the algorithm to pick it up, your whole problem isnt content but lack of any identifier marks, god damn.
