hey /v/ i could use some help here from experienced players.
i just redid my stats for the last time this playthrough and im still getting the most damage out of my fire straightsword, what weapon should i be using with my stats like this?
i was thinking about getting a dark blade and putting a heavy gem on it but im afraid my strength isnt high enough for it to be worth it.
im worried i middled way to hard on my stats and have been seriously considering just scrapping this build.

well, im level 79 at this point, ill be lucky to get another 25 levels before i beat the game. i was more in the market for weapon suggestions

you can re-spec your stats at Rosaria

If you level any stat above 40, it gets diminishing returns, so is really no longer worth the investment.
That call that the "soft cap" because you can level your stats higher, but it doesnt make a lot of sense to.
With 30 str / 20 dex I cant imagine your weapon doing more damage than Raw, unless you have something that's pure quality with refined gem

why not run fire or dark?
raw seems to add +-60 points of damage where as the former reduce it by +-10 then double it.
does raw wind up outscaling it at higher levels of refinement?
