The game overall looks very mediocre, with a severe lack of Polish and attention to detail compared to Bloodborne

I'd imagine they've been there a while and since rusted over? The Abyss Watchers have been fighting for who knows how long. But agreed, I think DSIII is gorgeous but its far from perfect, and I think if Bloodborne was on PC it would look better.

I think Demons Souls is the best looking Souls games honestly. It as such an interesting usage of lights.
DS3 and BB are too bleak. Some of the textures are alright but the games are so boring to look at most of the time. LOTF strived to a similar edgy look and aced it, compared to that game From didn't even try.

no that is not concept art. that is a screenshot from the game at some point in develpment. They might have been replaced for the butterfly things.
Or they might be primordial serpents. (there are statues in this game of winged primordial serpents)
