So my friens and I just bought these games, and we want to connect from our home wifi to play together.
Surprisingly, we haven't been able ti figure out how to do this after searching Google and YouTube. According to the information on the box, these games support wifi co-op and vs. play.
Your experience with this would be appreciated! Also, if anyone wants to swap friend codes we could play Pokemon. Thanks /v/..

It's in X and Y, so I figure it ought to be in ruby and sapphire, but I haven't played those.
Are you friended on the 3DS system? I think it goes off of that.
I have been playing X and Y with my roommate lately so that's the extent of my knowledge.
Unless by co-op you mean have him literally run around with you in the game world. Then no you most certainly cannot do that.

The european and japanese versions dont claim it has co-op.

Battle frontier. Co-op battles with friends. Nothing too exciting. Aside from that you can battle against them online and trade and shit.

Dude, it's post game. You won't be able to do it until you beat the elite four.
As for connecting to the Internet, go into settings and connect to wifi
Add your friend's friend code.
Then go on game, hit blue button on touch screen. You'll be on wifi, and once your friend is on, you'll see him.

You have to set up the internet settings in your 3DS settings. Then you have to be far enough to have the item that gives you apps on the bottom screen so you can use the bottom screen to connect to the internet
