Yes. If the game is going to extremely punish heavy armor users not only by keeping the "eq load is different than str" stat but by also making it so that Havel's ring is now nerfed to oblivion and the load stat gives you 1 fucking point, yeah poise should be there as some kind of fucking reward

The only current way to beat the OP r1 spam greatswords/ultra greatswords is to roll through their attacks and backstab anyway, otherwise you can't ever get an attack in with anything other than a weapon with high poise
imo just make it easier to knockback people using said heavy weapons, increase the wind-up time and give small weapon users a chance to fight back. we don't need poise or any of that shit, just a chance to fight other than backstabs.

You can spam R1 with estocs and it knocks them out of attacks because they can't reach the frames where hyper armor is actually active
You can also knock them out of the sword art if they use a great sword into the R2 because the hyper amore frams don't last that long.

What it currently does, making you not stagger from weapons that don't break poise during the roll recovery frames is actually very important due to the way stagger actually works.

as it is now this game is literally bloodborne 1.5, you need quick weapons and whoever staggers first tends to win, speed > all especially with curved greatswords that have wide range and decent speed to damage ratio, heck the game is so broken the only way to parry reliably is to use fucking caestus(?!)

The fact that poise doesn't exist is even worse for PvE.
It's hard enough to get a hit in on a great sword user because of the range on their weapons and they can poise through it with their attacks anyway. Right now the only way to fight a great sword user while using a small weapon of your own is to bait their attack or a roll and hit them AFTER their attack or roll so that you stagger them without taking a hit yourself.
If they had constant always on poise on top of that, small weapons wouldn't have a chance. Even if you outplayed the shit out if them at every turn, baiting attacks and rolls, dodging every hit and getting your own hit in while they aren't attacking, all they would have to do is ignore you and spam R1. The range advantage PLUS being able to ignore attacks would make large weapons a skillless spamfest. The only balance change that needs to be made is nerfing the damage on small weapons.
